Over 20% of the Etruscan Coast territory consists of parks, protected areas, oasis and faunal refuges.
Nature is not just a setting, but the very essence of this land with thick pinewoods, and countryside full of colours and scents.
The following all deserve a special mention : the WWF Oasis at Bolgheri, a humid area of international importance, the Magona park with its biogenetic oasis, the Hills of Livorno Park, of considerable historic-naturalistic interest, the flora-faunal oasis of Rimigliano park, the oasis in Orti-Bottagone and last but not least the Sterpaia and Montioni parks.
